Electro-Mechanical, LLC is seeking a dedicated and experienced Quality Engineer to join our team and support our mission of delivering reliable, high-quality solutions across our manufacturing operations. This role is based at our facility in Bristol, Virginia and plays a key role in advancing our operational excellence through rigorous quality standards and continuous improvement.
As a Quality Engineer, you will collaborate closely with the quality and production teams to resolve product and process issues, improve systems, and uphold the standards of our ISO 9001-based Quality Management System. Your efforts will help ensure consistent quality, compliance, and efficiency across all production areas.
How You Will Make an Impact:
Partner with production and engineering teams to investigate quality concerns and implement sustainable corrective and preventive actions.
Conduct root cause analyses and apply quality tools to drive systematic problem solving.
Assist in developing and delivering training programs for quality procedures and standards.
Monitor quality performance metrics and initiate improvements based on leading and lagging indicators.
Support and improve the internal audit process and help coordinate external audits.
Participate in the continuous improvement of our Quality Management System, ensuring alignment with ISO 9001 standards.
Maintain the calibration system, ensuring accurate tracking and timely calibration of gages and measurement tools.
Contribute to the overall safety, compliance, and performance of the organization by fostering a culture of quality and accountability.
What You Bring:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience (as determined by leadership).
Experience in quality engineering within a manufacturing environment.
Knowledge of quality tools and methodologies such as root cause analysis, CAPA, and measurement systems.
Familiarity with ISO standards and auditing practices.
Six Sigma certification preferred.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate across departments.
Travel & Physical Requirements:
Occasional travel (less than 15%) may be required, including trips within the U.S. for training.
Ability to move throughout the facility as needed and lift up to 25 lbs.
