Low Voltage Cable Technician – $22–$30/hr. DOE
We are currently hiring Low Voltage Cable Technicians with at least 2+ years of experience installing security/access control devices and low voltage cabling in commercial or data center environments. Duties:
Installing and wiring security devices (CCTV cameras, maglocks, card readers, door strikes, access control panels)
Pulling and routing CAT5, CAT6, or fiber cable in new construction and existing data center environments
Dressing, labeling, and terminating low voltage wires and security cabling
Installing support structures (ladder racks, racks, j-hooks, cable trays, basket trays, etc.)
Mounting and configuring devices such as patch panels, access control boards, and networked security equipment
Reading and interpreting schematics, line diagrams, and installation blueprints
Qualifications:
2+ years of recent experience installing security devices and/or low voltage cabling
Familiarity with access control systems and surveillance equipment installation
Working knowledge of BICSI, EIA, TIA, or NEC Standards
Experience running/bending conduit, using digital multi-meters, and testing cable is a plus
Fiber experience including terminations, connectors, or splicing is a plus
Must have own basic telecom/security install tools (punch downs, snips, wire strippers, cordless drill, PPE, etc.)
Compensation & Benefits:
Competitive starting pay $22–$30/hr. DOE
