Akkodis is seeking an Instructional designer for a 6+ months contract with a client located in Phoenix, AZ

Pay Range: $45/hr. - $50/hr. (The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.)

Summary:

Seeking an Instructional designer to join our Learning & Development team. This role focuses on enhancing technical, Health, Safety & Environment (HSE), and compliance training programs. You'll collaborate with subject matter experts to update and improve course content, ensuring alignment with evolving Aerospace standards and technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

Course Evaluation & Analysis

• Assess existing technical, HSE, and compliance courses for instructional quality and alignment with Aerospace standards.

• Partner with SMEs to revise outdated content and remove references to obsolete corporate resources.

Content Development & Enhancement

• Update training materials (presentations, manuals, e-learning modules, assessments) to reflect current practices and regulations.

• Design engaging, interactive learning activities that support defined objectives.

Instructional Design & Strategy

• Apply instructional design models (e.g., ADDIE, SAM) to create impactful learning experiences.

• Revise assessments to align with Aerospace-specific standards and remove reliance on broader corporate frameworks.

Quality Assurance & Continuous Improvement

• Implement QA protocols to ensure training materials meet Aerospace standards.

• Gather and incorporate feedback from learners and SMEs to enhance course effectiveness.

Required:

• Experience in instructional design and training program development.

• Strong grasp of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies.

• Proficiency with e-learning authoring tools and LMS platforms.

• Ability to assess training needs and evaluate program effectiveness.

Preferred:

• Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Education, or related field.

• 5+ years of experience in instructional design or a related discipline.

• Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.

• Creative approach to designing engaging learning experiences.

• Familiarity with emerging instructional design technologies and trends.
