Position: Digital Content Creator - Intern

Department: Marketing

Purpose of VisitPITTSBURGH

VisitPITTSBURGH creates, plans, and implements sales, marketing, and public relations programs that attract conventions, trade shows, media, and leisure travelers into the Greater Pittsburgh area, thereby ensuring the area of certain economic benefits. VisitPITTSBURGH achieves its goals through the combined efforts of its sales, marketing, and public relations staff, who actively solicit convention and tradeshow business, media coverage, and leisure travel for the Greater Pittsburgh area, along with internal staff who support and promote these efforts.

  • Work 21 hours per week for 13 weeks
  • Unpaid $75.00 stipend a week, transportation reimbursement

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Excellent working knowledge of major social media channels including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and TikTok
  • Understanding of Meta Ads Manager and GA4 and ability to analyze performance metrics
  • Familiarity with image and video editing software
  • Curiosity about digital marketing and its quickly changing trends
  • Strong writing and communications skills
  • Experience with project management systems
  • Detail-oriented, ability to prioritize with strong organizational, planning and time management skills
  • Self-motivated with problem solving attitude

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Performs duties and complete projects assigned by Marketing Manager, but not limited to:

  • Assist in the development, scheduling, and execution of paid media campaigns across Meta Ads Manager

  • Monitor and track campaign performance, pulling weekly reports to analyze key metrics like impressions, engagement, clicks, and conversions
  • Support the creation of ad copy and visual asset coordination, ensuring alignment with brand voice and campaign goals
  • Conduct research on audience trends, competitor strategies, and platform updates to inform campaign recommendations
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., content, web, strategic initiatives) to support integrated marketing efforts

  • Participate in brainstorming sessions and team meetings, offering creative input and contributing to overall marketing strategy
